Facts on the African Wild Dog:
These cute dogs can live up to 11 years in the wild. The African wild dogs is the size of a regular dog like a Shetland Sheepdog. They can weigh up from 30lbs-70lbs. They are also know as, African hunting dog, or African painted dog. They are a canidae native to Sub-Saharan Africa. They are one of the WORLD'S most endangered animals. They are 5 out of the top 10 most endangered animals. The population of the African Wild Dog is 3,000-5,500. The cause of the wild dogs dying out is of conflict with humans and infectious disease (rabies).

Facts on Cheetahs:
They’re suffering the same fate as many other predators. ”Diminishing populations due largely to persecution by people.” And don’t forget their the fastest animals in the world. And that doesn’t mean they can out run the threat that is killing the species. What's killing them? Habitat loss, fragmentation and human conflict (mainly farmers).There is only about 12,000 left in the whole world. Guess what? "Ironically, cheetahs tend to live primarily on farmlands, where they are at great risk to being killed by humans, instead of national parks and other reserves where they would be protected by strict anti-poaching laws and enforcement by rangers." But there is a reason, lions consider cheetahs as enemies so they were kicked out of protected lands into farmlands. Cheetahs are 7th for most endangered. The total population left is 10,000-12,000. Facts about African Penguin:
They live for 10 years and dive 30 ft deep in the water. They eat anchovies, pilchards, sardines, mackerel and herrings. Sometimes they eat squid and shellfish. They are endangered because industrial fishing around Cape Verde. Another threat is oil spills. They live in Angola, Mozambique, Namibia, and South Africa. They are also known as the jackass penguins and black- footed penguins. They are medium sized and the only type of penguins breeding in Africa. I mean would you want the only penguin species in Africa to dye out. These wonderful animals are number 9 for top 10 most endangered. There is about 72,000 birds left.

Facts about African Lions:
They might lose their title “King”. Humans living near them are normally afraid. Sometimes for their safety, but mainly that lions will eat their crops and cattle. It’s normally cattle farmers killing lions. They’re being killed by poison, trapping, and shooting. Let me remind you, half the time humans kill them, because they fear they’ll lose their cash crops or cattle, and not the protection of their family and themselves. They live in most of sub-Saharan Africa. From 1-10 for most endangered (1 being the most) they are 8. The best estimate is 20,000 to 23,000. But there was 450,000 about 50 years ago meaning there was a loss of 95%.

Facts about African Elephants :
African Elephants are huge,majestic and smart animals in Africa. They can weigh from 5,000 to 14,000 lbs. They can live up to 70 years in the wild but they live less because of humans. They are endangered because they are killed for their tusk. I know you are probably thinking, “Oh, they could just saw of the tusk and let the animals live”. But, it’s not that easy, the people who want the tusk, want the whole thing, and so they have to kill the animals, because the tusk are inside the elephant. SOmeother things that are killing them are, hunting for meat and habitat loss. The African Elephants are number 10 for most endangered. The African Elephant population is around 470,000-690,000.
